DU basketball has extended a 2017 offer to point guard Kameron ‘Kam’ Langley. Langley plays for Southwest Guilford High School in High Point, North Carolina. He has received offers from Marshall, Kennesaw State, North Carolina A&T and Maryland-East Shore. He is a 6’3″, 160 pound 2-star player.
The Langley name is well known in North Carolina with one Greensboro newspaper calling them Guilford County’s reigning ‘first family of high school basketball‘. Since the winter of 2010, some combination of the four Langley brothers — K.J., Kameron and twins Kobe and Keyshaun — has played a prominent role for the Guilford Cowboys success.
Last season, Southwest Guilford advanced to the N.C. 4A West Regional semi-finals with a 27-3 record and three Langley brothers in the line-up.

According to Phenom Hoops Report Kam has shown to be one of the better 2017 point guards in the state of North Carolina. He has great instincts on both ends of the floor. He is a natural paint getter (rebounder) and a lock down defender for 94’. Langley averaged 15 points per game to go along with 4.5 assists, 2.5 steals, and 4 boards per game.
Langley’s younger twin brothers, Keyshaun and Kobe (both 2019) are garnering college interest and offers as well. Kobe and Keyshaun are no strangers to winning big games and tournaments. They won AAU national championships in 2013, 2014 and 2015 as a part of the Team CP3 club coached by another Langley, dad Keyford.
While playing with the younger twins this past season, Kameron told Greensboro.com, “Since we play small, my rebounding has gone up from last year,” he said. “I’m handling the ball more, so my assists have gone up. Since K.J. and Ben (Ferguson) left, my scoring has gone up, too.”
Oh, and by the way he has a 4.1 GPA!

This recruit reminds me a bit of Rodney Billups. Rodney wasn’t the most athletic player on his DU teams, but he was smart and knew how to help his teammates get better. I think DU probably has a very good shot at landing him, considering the lower hoops RPIs and lower academic quality of the other schools recruiting him, at least for now.

We are now matching Verbal Commits with recruit acknowledgement. The prior miss occurred when ESPN and Verbal Commits reported Anthony Roberson move to DU. Never a perfect science but I think we are on track now. 5bWest
