DU LAX Announces Schedule on Twitter Today

The University of Denver men’s lacrosse program will be releasing their schedule today on twitter (@DU_MLAX). This upcoming year’s schedule has been eagerly anticipated with the expectation that several high-powered lacrosse programs will be traveling to Peter Barton Stadium.

LetsGoDU will be updating the schedule (below) during the day. Denver’s Fall Schedule is already in place. The fall schedule will be emotional for Coach Tierney as DU travels to Sparks, Maryland to play his former team Princeton on William G. Tierney Field at US Lacrosse headquarters. Then, DU takes on the Canadian National team the following weekend at Peter Barton.

  1. This is the best home schedule in DU history. Duke, Carolina and Notre Dame are all coming to Barton Stadium this year, which is without precedent. DU could probably draw somewhere between 5,000-10,000 fans for any of those three teams had they chosen to play them in Mile High Stadium. Instead, playing them all at Barton will make for SRO crowds and tough tickets…Go Pios!

  3. Playing at Barton gives DU the home field advantage. Moving get the games anywhere else would negate that advantage.

  4. I also like that all the mid-March away games are over Spring Break, and the students WILL be on campus for all home games this year.

  7. Looking at the ticket page at denverpioneers.com there still are single-game tickets available for home lacrosse games, including Duke, UNC and Notre Dame. No sell-outs yet.

    1. If I lived in Denver, I’d purchase the remaining tickets for the Duke, ND, and UNC games. Fans from all 3 schools will show up without tickets and pay anything to get in.
