WATCH: Jim Montgomery talks Henrik Borgström and overtime win over St Cloud

Last night, the top-ranked University of Denver Pioneers escaped the #18 St Cloud State Huskies with a 4-3 overtime victory thanks to the heroics of star freshman, Henrik Borgström. The victory, combined with Minnesota-Duluth’s 3-on-3 overtime loss to Miami, puts Denver one point clear of the Bulldogs in the NCHC Standings with one game in hand.

Head coach Jim Montgomery was pleased with his team’s overall effort last night and thought that his best players, Borgström, Troy Terry, and Dylan Gambrell, were phenomenal. These are the types of games championship teams have to win and Denver found a way to win it.
