Leclerc readies CC for battle in new kit

It started out as an errand with his mother to JOANN Fabrics to get fabric for some TV room pillows. “I found fabric bolts with a velveteen tiger pattern”, said Alex Leclerc, Colorado College’s starting goaltender. “We knew immediately this would be a great project for us!”

“It will be my secret weapon when we travel to Denver to take on the Pioneers. The fabric is super cozy and keeps me toasty on the ice. Mom made curtains and a rug for my dorm room with the extra fabric. It just might be the thing we need to change our luck!”

Leclerc’s dorm room (bed-left) features a tiger print curtain and rug. Alex’s roommate is majoring in film studies and Ancient Sanscrit.

Leclerc carries a 3.25 goals-per-game average and seems to play some of his best hockey against the Denver Pioneers. The NCHC Quarterfinal series begins Friday night at Magness Arena. The puck drops on Game One at 7:00 pm MT.

  1. Seems like the boys don’t get along. Time to send Leclerc back home so the can make up.
