Homecoming Weekend – It’s that time again!

This upcoming weekend, October 12th – 14th, marks another DU Homecoming and a great chance for students, families, DU faculty and staff along with alumni to cheer on the Pioneers. The weather forecast shows cold weather clearing out Saturday and sunny weather in the 50’s on Saturday for Hocktoberfest – with rapidly falling temperatures.

Hocktoberfest will again feature live music, food and, of course, beer before the game. And, like last year there will be a complimentary scarf and Denver cup.

If you are a last minute planner, there are tickets still a few tickets left for this upcoming weekend.

October 12th. Friday, 7:00 pm – Women’s Volleyball (16-1). The Pioneers have a chance to cement their first place lead when they play Fort Wayne at Hamilton Gym.

October 13th. Saturday 5:00 – 7:00 – Hocktoberfest**. Music, food, & beer in the north-side Ritchie parking lot.

**Due to the ever-changing Colorado forecast, Hocktoberfest has been moved to the Gates Fieldhouse, where we will have both indoor and outdoor space to keep you comfortable no matter the weather!**

Hocktoberfest 2018

October 13th. Saturday, 7:07 – Men’s Hockey. The Pioneers launch their home schedule and the David Carle era begins at Magness. Looks like standing room only at this point so you may need to enjoy Hocktoberfest and listen to the ever-sweet sounds of Jay Stickney on the radio.

October 14th, noon – Women’s Soccer. The Pioneers (7-5-2, 3-1-0 Summit) are only one game out of first and play new Summit League member North Dakota. A win over the birds is always sweet.

October 14th, 1:00 pm – Women’s Volleyball again. Warm up in Hamilton Gym as Denver Volleyball faces Western Illinois.

  1. Good thing nobody from North Dakota travels for women’s soccer. A parking lot full of pick-up trucks and old campers would not be a pleasant homecoming sight.
