Aspen Hall Meets the Wrecking Ball

Built in 1950, DU’s Aspen Hall is being torn down over the winter break. The building, on the south end of campus, is located north of Illiff Avenue, Aspen Hall served as a residential hall for a growing student population following WW2. Following that, a number professors located their offices in the building before it was closed permanently last year.

Aspen Hall was vacant the last several years prior to demolition.

 

The property will be converted into green space for use by visitors and students.
