Denver Hockey Celebration Set for Tuesday Evening

According to  DenverPioneers.com, The University of Denver Division of Athletics and Recreation invites fans to Magness Arena for the 2022 National Championship Celebration on Tuesday at 6 p.m. MT. The event will celebrate the University’s 34th and the program’s ninth National Championship in the free event. The first 1,500 fans on Tuesday will receive a commemorative championship poster.  Plans are also underway to free live steam this event to DU alumni and fans around the globe.  The event can be watched at this link or paste the following link in your browser at http://www.denverpioneers.com/watch

The Pioneer hockey team arrived in Denver Sunday with their NCAA Championship trophy in hand. Their airplane was met by a water-arch at the airport and reporter interviews. All this marks less than 24 hours since DU hockey had become the 2021-22 National Champions.

From the airport, the team bused back to campus with their new NCAA hardware and have several days to recharge before Tuesday evening’s celebratory event at Magness Arena.

  1. Dave,
Book a series in the Boston area for next year. I’ve been to the 04 and this years victories back here and already can’t wait to see my Pios again. I now live out here so now its local. Pick anybody ,there are lots to choose from.

We will organize a knockout watch party for both games. D.G. will come and we’ll welcome him big time.

    1. I am pretty sure DU will be playing at UMass-Amherst in October of next season. as a return visit for the U Mass series at Magness in 2020. So. not quite Boston, but an easy 2 hr-ish drive from there.

  2. To see the highlights in detail and clearly enter Frozen Four 2022. The screen will have some options. Select the small display in the upper right corner that says video of D.U. vs. Minn. MK.

It’s about two plus minutes of all the scores and also some of the great saves by Chrona. He was the difference.
I’ve watched it about four times and probably will revisit as long as they have it.
