On a sunny, 65 degree Saturday afternoon, the No. 2 University of Denver Pioneers took on the unranked Sacred Heart University Pioneers and won convincingly, 18-7. Puck Swami challenged DU to put on Big Events in his article Think Big, Denver . So we have put together the LetsGoDU Big Event Super Survey. In the survey, we provide a Big Event concept and venue. Of course, we know that it takes years to work out schedules and plan such events, but we wanted to paint a picture of what it would take to create such an event that would draw local and regional interest.

For the second year in a row, the No. 2 University of Denver Pioneers lacrosse team traveled to Atlanta, Georgia to face the No. 3 Duke University Blue Devils in the annual Cobb County Classic. Following a perfect Saturday for Lacrosse, a winter storm roared into Denver. No need to worry – the next home game, The Faceoff Classic, is not until February 27th. The DU women start home play on Friday, February 12th against Colorado. It might be 70 and sunny by then.
After scoring 8 goals in the first quarter, the Denver Pioneers lacrosse team held off the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays to win 14-10 in their final exhibition game of the 2016 season. While this game didn’t officially matter, Bill Tierney and his staff has a lot to talk about and build on heading into the season opener at Air Force on February 13th.
