Last night, the University of Denver Pioneers completed the weekend sweep of the top-ranked St. Cloud State Huskies with a 5-1 victory at Magness Arena. It was a complete performance for the Pioneers and after a nightmare weekend at Western Michigan a week ago, it was a good thing to see DU come out and play as well as they did all weekend.

Near the end of the game, tempers on both teams flared and a number of penalties were handed out. Emotions were high and after the game ended, Jim Montgomery and SCSU head coach Bob Motzko were seen exchanging words and had to be separated by the linesmen. In his postgame scrum below, Montgomery offers a short explanation of what happened.
