Both of DU’s lacrosse teams remain undefeated in Big East play with three more wins. DU’s women’s soccer and volleyball cemented regular season Summit League Championships. Men’s and women’s tennis won their weekend tilts and DU golfers heated up courses out west during non-conference play. Gymnastics is still in play for a national championship. Sometimes we take all this for granted but Denver teams keep piling up spring wins with a combined record of 61-16-1.

#7/8 Denver men’s lacrosse (7-2, 5-0) traveled to Providence, the one in Rhode Island, to face the Friars for the second time this year in BIG EAST Round Robin play. As the season advances, the Pioneers are building momentum with the addition of Yale transfers TD Ierlan, Jackson Morrill (captained Yale last season until its cancellation), and Lucas Cotler along with solid goaltending and an explosive offense. Since early-season road losses to Duke and North Carolina, Denver has transformed into a genuine contender for the Memorial Day Championship Weekend in Hartford, Connecticut.

Denver women’s lacrosse (6-1, 4-0) swept the Georgetown Hoyas 15-11 and 15-5 to give head coach Liza Kelly her 250th win. Denver’s only loss was a non-conference tilt in Boulder against CU with a shorthanded roster. DU can redeem themselves against the Buffs with a home tilt to even the table.

DU women’s soccer (12-2-1, 12-1-1) defeated Omaha Friday 2-1. Of course, Natalie Beckman scored Denver’s first goal and Malik Rafik scored the game-winner for the Pioneers. In the second game Sunday, Denver needed only one goal by Sydney Sharp (no Natalie Beckman?) to upend Omaha on Senior Day. Denver already clinched the Summit League regular-season soccer championship. After a final two-game road trip to face UMKC, Denver will travel to Omaha as the top seed in the Summit League Tournament with the winner receiving an NCAA bid.

We told you about Denver volleyball’s (13-2) sweep of UMKC (3-0, 3-0) on the road to clinch the regular-season Summit League title and earn the #1 seed at the Summit League Tournament.

Men’s tennis (9-3, 0-0) defeated UT Arlington 4-0 in Wichita Sunday morning. Women’s tennis (7-3, 1-0) faced UMKC at noon at Denver Tennis Park and trounced the Roos 6-1.

We also told you about Anna Zanusso and her invitation to the 2021 Augusta National Women’s Amateur but this past weekend, DU’s women golfers showed-out at the ASU Invitational as well as the classroom.

And DU men finished 11th in The Goodwin Tournament hosted by Stanford. DU Senior Jackson Solem did his part with a 64 in non-conference play.
