We already knew that Denver was going to host Michigan and Boston College this Fall (and travel to Bowling Green at some point). We just didn’t know exactly when. Well, now we do, and folks, it’s a doozy – Denver opens its home portion of the schedule against Michigan on October 16th and 17th. While the ceremony has not yet been officially scheduled, it’s all but guaranteed that the Pioneers will raise their 11th banner to Magness Arena’s rafters before playing the very same Wolverines that they beat in double overtime of the Frozen Four just a week and a half ago.

In addition to the home opening series against Michigan after traveling to Anchorage to play the UAA Seawolves, Denver will host Boston College – the program they beat in the 2024 national title game to capture their 10th title – a week after the 2026 Frozen Four rematch. The Pioneers will also host Lindenwood, who beat them in St. Louis last October, to round out the Magness Arena portion of their nonconference schedule. They will also travel to the northeast to play Boston University the weekend after Thanksgiving, and then to northern Ohio to play Bowling Green State on New Year’s Weekend (January 1 & 2).
In NCHC play, DU will host conference newcomer St. Thomas the weekend before Thanksgiving and then host North Dakota, the teams’ only meeting this season, the week after their trip to Boston. Yes, unfortunately, North Dakota’s first trip to Denver since 2023 will once again take place during Winter Break, with students on vacation.
On the bright side, all four Gold Pan games vs. and at Colorado College will take place during Winter Quarter, with students around and on campus.
If you’re a DU fan planning a winter golf trip around the Pioneers’ trip to Tempe, Denver will face Arizona State on November 6th and 8th at Mullett Arena. If you’re a joint DU/CU Buffs football fan, that may be your dream sports weekend as the Buffs will also be in Tempe that weekend, playing the Sun Devils on the 7th.
As always, feel free to share your thoughts on the schedule below. We finally know the roadmap for DU’s path to their 12th title.

Hell of a home opener! Plus BC and BU, nice non-conference games
I’m already excited!
Great schedule! PIos need to figure out how to fill out the defense with loss of
Pohlkamp, Buckberger, Brown and Anderson. Lin, MacBeath and Lutner are probably penciled in, perhaps Pitner is the #6 ?
What a fantastic schedule…..especially the non-conference games! Guess HE & B1G finally want to play the against the best.
It may be a long, lonely winter with only 6 home games after NoDak on Dec. 5th.
DC & team are sure to be tired, but battle tested, when the playoffs begin.
