Denver was selected for the Utah regional competition, which started today, April 2. In a surprising turn of events, the NCAA placed unseeded teams more or less in their nearest geographical regional competition. Denver returns to the site of their season high performance, the Jon M. Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City. The University of Utah plays host to regional competition where the top two finishers proceed to national semifinals. Continue reading Gymnastics Regional Preview

Denver Gymnastics Takes Third at Big 12 Championships
The Big 12 has crowned a new gymnastics champion, the University of Utah. Arizona took second place. Denver finished third. This was not the finish I would have predicted back in January, but isn’t all that surprising with how the season has gone. Continue reading Denver Gymnastics Takes Third at Big 12 Championships
Gymnastics Closes Out Regular Season Competition at Stanford
Denver ended the regular season with a loss at #13 Stanford. Under-rotation was the word of the day as DU continued to struggle with consistency. Denver’s score of 196.475 did increase their NQS very slightly going into post-season seedings, but their rank stays at #18. Stanford had two meets this weekend to gear up for championship gymnastics, which is either a great strategy or a path to burnout before the wins count. DU Gymnastics Makes Dreams Come True
Denver gymnastics finished their last home meet of the season with a win over Arizona State (196.7 to 195.575). Denver was undefeated at home in 2025! The team honored their four 5th year (COVID eligibility) athletes and their two seniors.
But even more than honoring their seniors, the team made a dream come true for 11 year-old Parker boy, Matthew Conklin. Grandview High School in Aurora teamed up with Dream on 3 (dreamon3.org) to grant Matthew’s biggest dream to attend the SEC gymnastics championship. Dream on 3 makes sports-themed dreams come true for kids living with life-altering conditions. Not only did Grandview High raise enough money to send Matthew to Birmingham later this month, but they made special arrangements for Matthew to be honored at Magness. Gymnastics Tumbles to #21 After Loss at Arizona
Denver lost to Arizona on Jan 31 with a score of 194.6 to 196.775. The season’s woes continue in unfathomable ways for a seasoned team, who on paper should be finishing in the low 197s at this point. Continue reading Gymnastics Tumbles to #21 After Loss at Arizona
DU Gymnastics Sparkles At Home
Denver counted their 6th win of the season in Magness against their first Big 12 challenger, West Virginia, on January 26. They debuted a new look that literally sparkled. Unfortunately the leotards are the best story of this meet. Continue reading DU Gymnastics Sparkles At Home
Denver Drops in National Ranking and Notches First Loss to Arkansas
Denver Gymnastics traveled to Arkansas for a Monday meet on January 20th. National rankings come out on Monday mornings, so results from this meet don’t factor into the Week 3 rankings. But the team score of 196. 325 would not have helped. Denver sits at #16 nationally and got beat by #17 Arkansas with a 197.00.
