LSU and OSU Advance to Regional Finals at Denver Regional

At the first session in Round 2 of the Women’s Gymnastics Regional competition, the teams and individuals definitely left some room for DU individual competitors this evening!

Session Results

  1.  LSU, OSU tied at 197.35
  2. Georgia 197.0
  3. Nebraska 195.525

This means that LSU and OSU will advance to the Sweet 16 of NCAA Gymnastics. However, both teams scored lower than their season NQS. Perhaps the altitude, or the Crimson floor?

Onto Tonight for Denver’s Shot!

DU needs to finish first or second as a team in tonight’s session, starting at 7PM in Magness to advance to the Regional Finals on Sunday. Then they need to place either first or second on Sunday to qualify for nationals.

Or individuals on DU’s team need to beat these individual front runners today, as well as individuals from their own session’s competition. So with no perfect 10s coming from the first session, there is room for DU. Let’s see how our home team performs and hopefully make it through to Sunday’s finals!

Lets Go DU!

  1. Oh man, second session warm-ups and Riley Mundell is in a boot. Denver looks nervous. Michigan looks clean, strong, and confident. And Minnesota fans showed up in force! This is going to be tough!

    1. Looks like Denver pulled it off and advances 🙂 I look forward to seeing how they do tomorrow!
