Denver men’s basketball (10-13, 3-5) traveled to Kansas City for a mid-week tilt. The Pioneers were reeling, losing 5 out of their previous 6 games. The UMKC Roos wracked up the same record over the prior 6 games. Something had to give and it was UMKC giving up 20 offensive rebounds (51 in total) to DU in a 69-61 Pioneer win. Denver also excised their end-of-game demons, trailing with little more than six minutes remaining in the game. Continue reading DU Rebounds in UMKC Win, 69-61

DU Fails to Closeout North Dakota, Drops Game 93-86
The discouraging theme repeated itself once again on Saturday afternoon. DU men’s basketball (9-13, 2-5) plays an opponent close all game long, takes the lead late in the game – only to let it slip away in the final minutes.
Here’s how it happened at Hamilton. Continue reading DU Fails to Closeout North Dakota, Drops Game 93-86

Well, rinse-and-repeat as Denver fizzled in the final 8 minutes, 82-72, missing a chance to defeat the vulnerable Coyotes. Denver also wasted a career game from Gabe Oldham, who delivered 24 points and 13 rebounds. Continue reading Depleted South Dakota Coyotes Deliver Double-Digit Loss to DU, 82-72

DU Pushes St Thomas but Falls, 92-88
This was a measuring stick game. The Summit League only receives one NCAA Tournament auto bid. An early road game against the preseason conference favorite, St Thomas, was a good chance to evaluate Denver’s progress and prospects for the 2025-26 conference season. Denver (8-9, 1-1) did not play one of their most solid games, yet the Pioneers hung close to the Tommies on the road until the final seconds, 92-88.
