Denver routs Providence in Big East Championship tune-up

For the second time in three weeks, the top-ranked University of Denver Pioneers lit up the scoreboard with 17 goals against the unranked Providence College Friars. Three weeks ago, in Providence, RI, the Pioneers outscored the Friars 11-2 in the second half to pull away and seal the victory. Six goal third leads Pioneers to Big East Title on Senior Day

Thanks to an important six-goal third quarter during which the No. 1 University of Denver Pioneers (12-1, 5-0 Big East) held the No. 19 Marquette University Golden Eagles (9-4, 4-1 Big East) scoreless, DU won their third straight Big East regular season championship. Denver tops St. John’s 17-10 in another snowy affair

For the second straight week, the No. 3 Unversity of Denver Pioneers lacrosse team played in a ‘winter wonderland’ and for the second straight week, they prevailed. Last weekend, against the Villanova Wildcats the Pioneers eked out a late 12-11 victory. This weekend, DU topped the St. John’s Red Storm 17-10, albeit with less on-field accumulation. Denver holds off upstart Villanova in snowy thriller

On a cold day in Villanova, Pennsylvania, the No. 4 University of Denver Pioneers topped the No. 18 Villanova University Wildcats 12-11 with heavy snow falling throughout the game. It’s Time to Expand Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium

In 2005, when the University of Denver’s Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium was built, it was hard to envision what would transpire over the course of the next decade. At the time, DU was still a fledgling 6 year old Division I lacrosse program. It hadn’t even made its first appearance in the NCAA Tournament yet. Denver Extends Winning Streak to 17 with 16-6 Rout of Dartmouth

For the second straight day, the No. 2 University of Denver Pioneers took on a team from the northeast and won by double digits. This time, the Pioneers’ victim was the unranked Dartmouth College Big Green. Paced by three goals and three assists from midfielder Tyler Pace and two goals and three assists from attackman Connor Cannizzaro, the Pioneers easily dispatched the Big Green.
