Postscript – NCAA Compromises for Big 12

As a follow-up to yesterday’s article on the Big 10 proposal to require inner-league divisions and league championship game for football conferences in order to qualify for the national championship playoffs, the NCAA FBS members voted yesterday on a compromise which will only require a league championship game. The means, essentially, that the Big 12 will not be required to add two teams to create divisions. However, they must hold a playoff between their top two teams in order to qualify for the national championship playoffs.
