Grand Forks, North Dakota – The University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks were met in downtown Grand Forks this morning for a rally before they began their 2-day 936 mile bus ride to Denver.

Last minute travel accommodations were covered by UND alumni who put an old bus back into service for their use.

The bus has a scheduled stop in Wahpeton, ND to visit with Boy Scout Troop 346 that held a pancake fundraiser for the Fighting Hawks.

Said one player of the bus trip, “This is shorter than most of the trips I took when I played in Moose Jaw.”

The Fighting Hawks are expected to arrive in Denver early Friday morning.
