  1. DU is a small private school with a small fan base. Pios will likely have 750-1000 fans in Tampa, about the same as in previous Frozen Fours.

  2. It’s not the number of fans, it is how happy they are. And we were certainly quite happy to eliminate The Fighting Hawks in 04 and 05 on the way to our happiness. What is that, like 5 national championships that DU has won at North Dakota’s expense? You might say that The Fighting Hawks are about due, considering they have been to about 7 Frozen Fours recently, and have come away from each one empty handed. The law of averages favors them, but DU has a pretty good team, too.

  4. It doesn’t get any better than this. DU-UND for a spot in the championship. Can’t wait for next Thursday.

The Sioux have more talent top to bottom and better depth, but the teams are .500 against each other this year. Should be a barnburner.
