Women’s volleyball shutout Southern Utah Friday night 3-0 and then crushed the Georgetown Hoyas 3-0 on Saturday to complete a perfect week at Hamilton Gym. They are peaking at just the right time for conference play. The best lesson during the non-conference schedule may have come in a loss against Northern Colorado. The match showed there are no guarantees on the road. The Pioneers have racked up a solid non-conference 8-4 record and are favored to win the Summit League.

Next Match: vs UNO in Omaha, NE Saturday, September 24th 4:00 MT (Start – Conference Play)

DU Women’s soccer traveled to Boulder and faced Colorado Saturday in the finale of the Colorado Cup series. They fell 1-0 to Colorado nine minutes into OT. By all accounts, the Pioneers gave the Buffalos all they could handle in regulation and missed several opportunities to win the match. The Pioneers fell to 3-6 overall and continued their scoring drought – having not scored a goal in any of their six losses.

Next Match: vs. BYU in Provo, Utah on Thursday, September 22nd 7:00 MT
