The #3 University of Denver Pioneers skated past the #18 Omaha Mavericks last night thanks to a big four-goal second period and five straight goals between the second and third periods. Overall it was an important victory for the Pios as they pulled within 3 points of first place UMD in the NCHC standings.
Head coach Jim Montgomery talked after the game about what he liked from his team last night. He also talked at length and joked about the prospects of star freshman Henrik Borgström staying at DU beyond 2017.
