It was during the non-conference schedule when DU women’s soccer (11-8-1, 5-2-0) dropped six games and were outscored 18-4 in those losses. The most brutal loss, during the Colorado Cup on September 16th, occurred on CIBER Field soil where the visiting University of Colorado Buffalos blasted a disheartened Pioneer squad 6-1. DU Dominates Omaha on Senior Day

Denver volleyball (19-5 overall, 10-2 Summit League) shook off a shaky first game (17-25) on Senior Day and swept the next three games ( 25-19, 25-15, 25-16) against the Omaha Mavericks to  remain in the Summit League regular-season chase.

With two games to go for the Pioneers, Oral Roberts has the conference lead (11-2), tied with DU in the loss column. South Dakota fell to Oral Roberts over the weekend and sits at 9-3 with a game scheduled against DU in Vermillion, South Dakota next Friday. Denver men’s and women’s soccer both punch postseason tickets

The University of Denver Pioneers women’s soccer program is going back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2013 thanks to the 85th minute heroics of senior forward Angelica Pacheco. Her goal gave the Pioneers a 2-1 lead after North Dakota State had tied it at 1 just minutes before on a penalty kick. Denver loses to Western Michigan late, won’t finish season unbeaten

The top-ranked University of Denver Pioneers lost this evening to NCHC foe Western Michigan by a score of 6-5 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Unfortunately for the crazed fans of the Crimson and Gold, the previously unbeaten Pioneers will not finish the year that way as their record falls to 4-1-2 with the loss. Denver Hockey Series Preview: Western Michigan University

The top-ranked University of Denver Pioneers are coming off a very impressive weekend beating Boston University and Boston College on the road.  They will continue their season on the road again when they face the Western Michigan University Broncos this weekend on November 3rd and 4th in Kalamazoo.  This will be the first NCHC series of the season for both teams. Early Goal Propels Denver Women’s Soccer to Summit Finals

DU women’s soccer traveled to Fargo, North Dakota for the Summit League playoffs. After finishing 5-2 in league play, Denver (#2 seed) was tied with Oral Roberts (#3 seed) and North Dakota State (#4), all three with two league losses. South Dakota State is the #1 seed with a 7-0 mark.

In blustery, freezing temperatures in Fargo, North Dakota senior Jessie Dancy scored Denver’s first goal one minute into the contest against Oral Roberts University. Her goal was assisted by senior forward Angelica Pacheco. That goal held up the other 89 minutes for the win. ORU had several good opportunities  to score the equalizer but failed to capitalize.
