It went fast and it was fun. Full of winning, parties and even a little snow. DU won every game, match and meet (swimming thrashed Colorado State) to make it a perfect weekend. Here are the Top 5 moments from the weekend.
Who had more pressure heading into the weekend than David Carle? Taking the reins of a dominant hockey program, his team rewarded him with a puck and two wins against Air Force and Alabama-Huntsville.

Denver volleyball (18-1, 7-0) had a sweep of their own against Fort Wayne and Western Illinois. Denver has not lost a Summit League match in over a year and travels to Omaha in a showdown of conference unbeatens this week.
The match was delayed two hours while snow was removed from the soccer pitch. DU does not have an in-ground heating system so much of the work removing snow was by hand.A host of people helped clear the field of 5″ of snow. Special shout-out to DU men’s soccer and Jamie Franks for jumping in and helping clear the field. This is not the first time Franks has had his team work with the Denver grounds crew – even when not playing, they make great news.

The Hocktoberfest pre-game celebration was moved inside with the expectation of inclement weather. DU Alumni Relations and DU Athletics put together a great pre-game party with cheerleaders, good food, music, and guest alumni speakers David Carle and Rodney Billups.
Now that's an awesome sight to see. Two proud alumni now coaching here and speaking to the crowd at Hocktoberfest for Homecoming weekend. Thank you again @coach_billups & @DCarleDU for being such great leaders in the community. #PioneerTogether pic.twitter.com/f0pDEgh1kt
