Crimson & Gold Show Episode 5: Processing a lost Gold Pan and previewing the playoffs

After a long hiatus thanks to some scheduling oddities and poorly-timed vacations (lookin’ at you, Nick), the Crimson & Gold Show is back just ahead of the postseason! Denver was swept by CC over the weekend and for the first time in five years, the Tigers have claimed the trophy. It was a rough weekend for the Pios but in the end, the regular season is now over and the “season that matters” is about to start. The Pioneers will welcome archrival North Dakota to Magness Arena next weekend for the first round of the NCHC Tournament.

  1. Here are the recent stats for the top 5 DU scorers:

Finlay – 1 goal in last 8 games

Pettersen – 0 goals in last 12 games

Luko – 1 goal in last 5 games

Guttman – 1 goal in last 14 games

Mitchell – 1 goal in last 15 games

With stats like these, DU is unlikely to advance. At this time of year, your big scorers need to score goals….
