DU held a kick-off party at Attimo Wine for Crimson and Gold Trail Saturday night, a program designed to support Denver area business owned and operated by DU Alumni. With businesses in coffee, drinks, food hospitality, and retail operations in the greater metro area (see map), patrons will receive special discounts at these DU-run businesses when they sign-up for the Passport.
Starting with a “Passport” booklet featuring 20+ locations around metropolitan Denver, members will periodically receive ‘passports’ to take to DU businesses. In return, when presenting Crimson + Gold Trail guide, passport owners will receive special discounts. And, let’s face it, we all get in a rut of going to the same places. This offer gives members a chance to enjoy new experiences while supporting the Pioneer family.
With the well documented rising rents and wages in Colorado, these entrepreneurs are true Pioneers who should be supported by our patronage.
In the future, we will be running short features on several of the participating businesses. Oh, and by the way, readers of LetsGoDU who enter the LetsGoDU discount code will receive 10% off their $25.00 passport.
Attimo Wine is located at 2246 Larimer Street in downtown Denver. Attimo features premium Italian wines as well as excellent economically priced wines in a casual environment. The “wine park,” as Schlegel calls it, includes an event space, a tasting room, piazza, and small kitchen for bar snacks.
There is also a full bar if you or a guest are not wine connoisseurs.
And, if you want to talk DU sports, especially men’s soccer, be sure to meet Jon Schlegel.
