DU Announces Virtual Homecoming October 19th-24th

In a year when almost nothing seems normal, DU announced a virtual homecoming to help the DU community experience a sense of normalcy this fall. The events are designed to blend philosophy, academia, and athletics in a series of virtual, online meetings with DU leaders, stakeholders and guests.

The homecoming goal is to engage body, mind and spirit in a series of virtual, on-line events.

Monday, October 19th

Chancellor Jeremy Haefner talks about the 4 Dimensional Student Experience at DU intended to prepare DU students for a lifetime of success.

Featured alumni discuss how they leveraged their skills developed at the University of Denver to enjoy success outside the classroom.

Wednesday, October 21st

World class soccer player Abby Wambach gives Pioneer nation an inspirational message on the importance of teamwork and transformation.

Thursday, October 22nd

A discussion led by Associate Professor of History Elizabeth Escobedo regarding the ways in which race plays a central role in the history of immigration in the twentieth-century United States.

Friday, October 23rd

A day of six events centered around phsical health (run, yoga, Zumba, nutrition, financial health, Cardio Blast and then, capped with the ever popular Pints with Profs – virtual of course!

Saturday, October 24th

Join in on a discussion of some of DU’s most iconic athletic performances and moments shared by the very people who made history over the last decade. DU athletic legends Trevor Baptiste, Will Butcher and Maddie Carr will be appearing online, along with DU coaches  Bill Tierney, David Carle and Melissa Kutcher-Rinehart.
