LetsGoDU Hockey SUPER-POLL™ Picks Denver to Win Championship Finale in Vegas

NCAA hockey teams are set to battle during the 2025-26 season to reach the Frozen Four in Las Vegas, Nevada. The highly touted LetsGoDU SUPER-POLL™ convened veteran gamblers Billy Walters, Billy Baxter, “Roxy” Roxborough, and “Lefty” Rosenthal, all elected to the Las Vegas Sports Betting Hall of Fame, for their highly accurate predictions. After a smoke-filled late-night at Goddard Family Company headquarters in Houston, Texas, the University of Denver was selected as the prohibitive favorite, which marks the 21st consecutive season the LetsGoDU SUPER-POLL™ has named the Pioneers title favorites.

This is how the cards fell:

10. Notre Dame – Irish hockey is like Bruno Mars. While you know the lofty reputation, you couldn’t identify Mars if you ran into him in the Bellagio elevator.

9. North Dakota – The new head coach of the Fighting Hawks, Dane Jackson, coaches hockey like a desperate gambler, betting on green in Roulette (35-1). Like UND’s on-ice odds, the Fighting Hawks’ confidence overwhelms common sense, and they miss the zero pocket and a trip to Vegas.

8. Ohio State – The Buckeyes wager on the pass line instead of the blue line, roll boxcars, and crap out of the tournament. They’ll have to take their regular-season NIL earnings to the Hollywood Casino in Columbus.

7. Maine – Maine’s hopes of visiting TV’s Pawn Stars are dashed when, like a fake Rolex, they are yet again quickly dispatched to Orono in the early NCAA Tournament rounds.

6. Penn State – Following in the footsteps of David Copperfield and David Blaine, the Nittany Lions disappear in a quarterfinal instant…yes, even with Gavin McKenna.

5. Boston College – The highly touted Golden Eagles wake up with a playoff hangover and wonder what happened – just like a missing wallet after leaving the Flamingo Hotel bar with Amber and Crystal.

4. Boston University – The high on-ice expectations melt away once again in the early spring. The Terriers make the Frozen Four but go down like the water level at Lake Powell.

3. Western Michigan – They snuck by Denver in OT at last season’s Frozen Four. Like a game of blackjack, they bust after splitting a pair of regular-season series against DU in the regular season.

2. Michigan State – Little Caesars is headquartered in Michigan. Denver will play Brutus to the Spartans’ Little Caesars in a Sin City finale, sending Sparty out of the party.

1. Denver – Denver bets on the pass line and rolls craps – their lucky number 11th national title. DU finishes with a perfect hand – 41-0, going undefeated in the non-conference, regular season, NCHC Frozen Faceoff, and NCAA Tournament.

#64. Colorado College – The biggest surprise in the Springs is not the wave of CHL players matriculating to Colorado College; it is the number of their incoming CHL players who excel in ceramics and finger painting.

  1. The “Dunker Handicap Index” which has been correct for the past 21 years also has DU winning it all.

  2. As is tradition in the Let’s Go DU Super Poll, Denver is always slotted into first each year, CC is always slotted into last place each year, and the other teams fall into the order that we expect them to finish…

  3. David has the Elvis look. When we win the Natty, his face will be on the large billboard in front of Caesar’s Palace.. Sinatra, Evil Knievel, Billy Joel, David Carle.
