DU Goes to Sea Level to Gain Altitude

DU hoops went to North Carolina, the state nicknamed ‘first in flight‘, to add height to the Pioneers squad. According to Verbal Commits, Denver extended  offers to two big men for 2018 when the team is expected to have a treasure trove of five available scholarships. The first offer went to 6’8″ power forward Jalen Gamble from High Point, North Carolina while the second went to Jaylan Gainey a 6’9″ power forward from Greensboro, North Carolina. Joe Scott Lands at Holy Cross

He’s from New Jersey. He teaches the Princeton offense. He was an assistant under legendary coach Pete Carrill and head coach at Princeton. He took a team to a team to the NCAA basketball tournament. He coached at a university founded by John Evans. He has won 53% of his games as a head coach.

The Coach? Bill Carmody of Holy Cross.

PhotoBreaking Cardinal Rules: Basketball and the Escort Queen

According to an article Louisville students’ lawsuit against escort dismissed, a judge rightfully dismissed a student lawsuit against Katina Powell.

The four students sued madam Katina Powell, author of Breaking Cardinal Rules, for devaluing their education at Louisville. Many of these incentives were provided on the campus at the players’ basketball dormitory, Billy Minardi Hall . To add to the steaminess, Ms. Powell’s daughter was a part of the traveling troupe.  Continue reading Louisville Students Blinded by Success

The Mountain West is their preferred option. Continue reading West Coast Conference Path a Minefield

Louisville Makes a Mockery of ‘Self-Imposed’ Sanctions

When the Louisville Cardinals were caught providing players and recruits ‘special favors’, they decided to fire the assistant coach in charge of entertainment and imposed sanctions  on their own program. Of course, head coach Rick Pitino stands untouched from the scandal despite, at minimum, a loss of institutional control at Louisville.
