  1. When you consider that this team has not lost a regular season game in two years now, and has risen to the top 5 in the sport with 200+ other D-I programs, it’s flat-out amazing.

Final exams or not, I would love to see us break the DU modern men’s soccer attendance record for this NCAA game, which I believe is about the 1,600 fans we had for the Dayton game a few years ago.

    Show up, Pios!

  2. To put a #6 overall seed in perspective for those who don’t follow college soccer:
    1. It’s the same as being a #2 seed in March Madness. Think Ky, Duke, UNC, Kansas, Michigan State, and Louisville. We are Louisville.
1a. If a college football team is ranked #6, it’s playing in a New Year’s Day bowl game. Smell the roses.
    2. 1st round bye. Next 2 games at home if we keep winning. The NCAA seeded us #6 because we are a favorite to win those 2 games in their eyes. Easier said then done.
    3. We are in the Clemson bracket. They are the #3 overall seed. If we take care of business at home, our Pios fly to Clemson, SC. We then need to upset the Tigers. And if that happens
    4. FINAL FOUR in HOUSTON.

Yes, we are in uncharted waters.

Honestly, it’s a great draw. Now, a SRO crowd at Ciber FIELD will be a big plus. GO DU!
