  1. Have to figure Denver is going to be looking for another fast start tonight. Denver’s offense can score and it’s going to take more than 3 to get the split tonight.

  2. Good lord the deck is stacked against Denver in this game. Give the Pios a lot of credit that period. Huskies should be up by 3 heading into the 3rd

  3. DU has no business even staying competitive in this game. St. Cloud skating circles around DU all night so far…DU so undisciplined.

    1. I’m not putting all of the penalties on DU themselves…these refs haven’t been good at all. That’s not to say that they didn’t earn most of them but the 5 minute call was…bad and then to not give Denver a 5 minute power play on the Lancaster hit is…well…suspect at best. However, even 5 on 5 they’ve looked overmatched.

      1. Overmatched is a very good word for it. Shots are 41-17 SCSU. Reffing isn’t great, but that’s hockey. DU is taking so many penalties because the Huskies are flat out faster and more experienced. DU is likely going to get swept because SCSU is that much better…

  4. Time to clean up all the penalties. Usually, DU causes them with their positioning and skating. You can’t get 8 penalties in a game on the road and win. That being said, Cooley is keeping DU in striking distance.

  5. Had really hoped for a split, but the Cloudies skated circles around DU. Cooley was better tonight, but 41 shots to 17. 9 or 10 penalties is NOT acceptable anywhere.
