  1. Haikkanen in 70 seconds 1-0 DU
    Larsson in goal.

almost said some “bad words” till I found the game on Fox Sports North

  2. DU comes out of Grand Forks with the split, and I am sure they are thrilled with that result, given that UND out-worked, out-shot and out-hustled DU on Saturday. I was really impressed with DU’s face-offs, and the PK, and Larsson’s play, especially his rebound control. DU’s power play looked really lost. Bernard-Docker fired a great shot to tie the game, and there is a reason he’s a first-round pick. UND impressed me with their heart and fight, despite the fact that they really don’t have the high end forward talent we are used to seeing from them. Good thing Luko was in the right place when it counted, and he made up for his no-SOG performance on Friday with that game-winner.

So here we are at the half-way point, and DU is a little better than expected, but not nearly as good as Duluth or St. Cloud. I expect DU to be in a dogfight for home ice with WMU, North Dakota, CC and Miami down the stretch.
