A Men’s Soccer tie and Women’s Soccer sweep) clinched regular season titles while a DU women’s volleyball home sweep moved them into first place in the Summit league. DU Men Battle Pesky Omaha to 0-0 Draw

The University of Denver men’s soccer team (14-0-3, 5-0-1) traveled to the University of Nebraska-Omaha’s (8-4-4, 4-0-1) Caniglia Field in a match of Summit League unbeatens. With a beautiful afternoon in the 70’s, a homecoming crowd of 1,025, and Omaha’s Senior Day it was a perfect setting for a home team victory. While playing out the string of another potentially undefeated season, protecting a top 5 national seed, and preparing for the league playoffs in the Mile High City, the Denver Pioneers face a hungry foe in the UNO Mavericks. The Mavs are licking their chops as they plot to end ‘the streak’ on Senior Day in Omaha. UNO’s Henningson Memorial Campanile Faces Seismic Changes

As DU’s men’s soccer team travels to Omaha next weekend to battle the Mavs for the regular season Summit League title, it might be wise to keep an eye out for falling debris.
A newly released study calls for a major change to the UNO campus – namely, the iconic Henningson Memorial Campanile. Since its completion in 1989, the Henningson Memorial Campanile, a large tower, on the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) campus has been featured prominently in everything from commencement programs to UNO’s centennial celebration. Men’s Hockey Sweeps Spartans
Denver hockey rolled into East Lansing Michigan and exited with a sweep. On Friday, Denver defeated the Spartans 2-1 behind Tanner Jaillet’s 19 of 20 saves along with goals from super freshman Henrik Borgstrom and sophomore Jarid Lukosevicius. On Saturday afternoon, Troy Terry scored one goal and another nearly invisible goal to lead the Pio’s to a 3-1 victory. The Pioneers have moved to 4-2 behind a four-game winning streak with one of their top scorers, Dylan Gambrell, out of the lineup with injury. Next series: At Magness Arena next weekend vs. Western Michigan.

The undefeated 7th-ranked University of Denver men’s soccer team traveled to 9th-ranked Butler for a showdown at the Butler Bowl in Indianapolis, Indiana Monday night and emerged with a hard fought 1-0 win (as LetsGoDU predicted).
