In an altogether meaningless NCHC third-place game for NCAA Tournament purposes, the No. 6 University of Denver Pioneers and the No. 1 University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks skated to a 1-1 tie at the Target Center. After all the talk was about how good the No. 6 University of Denver Pioneers had been in 2016, DU came onto the ice against the No. 4 St. Cloud State Huskies with little purpose and seemed to try too hard to make the perfect play. The NCHC announced this morning that Gabe Levin, senior center and assistant captain for the University of Denver hockey team, is the inaugural recipient of the conference’s post-graduate scholarship. Entering the 2015-16 season, the conference announced several new on- and off-ice policy changes. Among them was the creation of the post-graduate scholarship program.
