The Denver Tennis Park construction, featuring a 13-court facility — seven indoor and six outdoor, is well underway at 1500 S. Franklin St. in Denver. The facility is situated between South High School and I-25.
Groundbreaking was held in August and actual construction on the building began in January. The Denver Tennis Park complex is scheduled to open in November.
The $13.8 million facility is a collaboration of Denver Tennis Park Inc., Denver Public Schools and University of Denver. Funds for the project have been raised through the efforts of Denver Tennis Park and DU, as well as Denver Public Schools bond funds for drainage work.

The Denver Tennis Park will be open to the public, host the DU tennis team practices and tournaments and support youth tennis programs. This facility should be able to keep the University of Denver competitive in D1 college recruiting and prove to be a great asset for both the University of Denver as well as the community.
The existing on-campus Stapleton Tennis Pavilion will continue to be used by DU staff and students for tennis once the Denver Tennis Park opens.
Glad to hear! Cool facility, hope the DU community at-large will be able to get access of some sort.
There will be public access, student access (DPS) & DU Tennis. Not sure if student fees will give DU free access. I’ll check.
