Last night, the #2 University of Denver Pioneers topped Colorado College for the 11th straight time to extend their third-longest streak in the 305-game history of the Gold Pan Rivalry. The 2-1 victory was an important one, as all wins over CC are, but the Pios played sluggish hockey for much of the game. Part of that was a function of the bye week last weekend. A late first half surge seemed to fuel the romp.
